My father, who lives in Oklahoma City, discovered his home had been infested with termites. By talking with his neighbors, he also discovered that his neighbors on both sides of his house had treated their homes for termites several months earlier. As you can see, the termites migrated to my father’s house as a result of his neighbor’s actions.
The legislatures of Arizona and Oklahoma have taken positive steps to curb the illegal alien problems in their state. As a result of those state’s actions, Texas has now become an escape for illegal aliens that can no longer survive in Arizona or Oklahoma. The next session of the Texas Legislature should and needs to address this dynamic problem since the federal government is stalemated and is unable to effectively deal with this issue.
Illegal immigration causes higher costs for Americans in medical fees, insurance fees, and property taxes (ie School Taxes). If Texas takes a positive stance to thwart illegal immigration then maybe the illegal aliens will move elsewhere just as they have from Arizona and Oklahoma.
